I started developing software for community currencies in 2004, and this became full time activism in 2009 when I cofounded Community Forge to provide free hosting for my Drupal distribution, Hamlets to any group who wanted it.
Then I became fascinated about how the money system works, and started to try to communicate that much more widely, first co-developing a workshop game to provoke thought, and later co-authoring the Money & Society MOOC.
Now I assist and advise various projects, and I'm doing the political work to make complementary currencies more interoperable and less isolated projects. To this end I co-authored the Credit Commons white paper, and have contributed academically elsewhere.
